April Pages

I have been in a funk for quite some time and finally decided to get my butt in gear and just get moving! I’ll admit, it hasn’t been easy but that first step is always the hardest. Not many pages in my April journal (and even less in May’s) but I am ok with that. I think. Maybe. Yes. No. Yes! I AM OK WITH AN UNFINISHED JOURNAL!!! Hey, it’s true, the more I say it, the more it starts to feel like it’s true. Who would’ve thunk it?

I have been trying to use up things that are in the catch-all box on a shelf beside my desk. I think it’s working.

Nature Sings

Didn’t realize how long it’s been since I’ve posted. Life has a funny way of taking over!

After creating this page in Cindy Gilstrap’s class,  the words of this holiday song came to mind. Even though the holidays are well behind us, I thought the words very apt!

Last Face for March

I really love how the background adds so much character to her face. I love spontaneous and unplanned!

Purple Hearts

Went to a dinner-mystery-“dramedy” in Al Ain performed by the PM Widow and her fabulous production crew. Didn’t know what to expect but it was actually a lot of fun! Interacting with perfect strangers was definitely out of my comfort zone but I wasn’t alone. I was even one of the suspects! Mostly everyone attending played some small part; once I got over my initial feeling of self-doubt, I got into my character and had fun. I would definitely attend again and maybe even host my own bbq gathering with a twist!

Played with black and white; loved the result!

I just love all the background texture showing up in her face!

Nature Blue

Experimented with glitter paint. You can’t tell but it’s actually quite sparkly. A great alternative to winding up with glitter all over hands, face, hair, etc. I can love glitter again!!
