  1. Hi Angie – I don’t know if there is a tutorial, I’m sure there are, but I just did this on my own. I’ve seen Julie Fei-fan Balzer do this often and decided to try it. You do the background first, I like painting colors in random patterns, then I use a black/blue marker to draw the flowers and leaves. Once I’m happy with that, I just paint around the shapes and over the background. You can also “color” in with a thick marker. Then I usually go over the lines again with a thicker marker, sometimes going over that with a white paint pen or silver/gold gel pen. Good luck and welcome to the art journaling world!
