My travel journal still has blank pages so I made backgrounds with a few of the stamps I’ve carved recently. Amazing how turning them this way and that you can get such beautiful textures and patterns; even just changing the color of the ink makes it so different!

I think I’ll be doing mostly journaling and I thought the purple was a little dark for that purpose so I put a layer of gesso over it. As you can tell, I didn’t wait for the ink to completely dry. I like the smudged look!

This was my quarter-repeat stamp. I didn’t get clear images for each stamp, but I like that “there, but not” look.
